First Bus in Sheffield supports three local foodbanks this Christmas

  • First Bus in Sheffield have donated Christmas meals for Church Food Hub, S2 Foodbank and S20 Food bank.
  • The food was supplied by Asda in Handsworth who also gifted mince pies towards the donation.
  • Sheffield’s Lord Mayor Cllr C Ross was in attendance, along with Clive Betts, MP for the Sheffield South-East.
  • First Bus operate several bus routes in these areas.

First Bus Sheffield launches poppy bus appeal in partnership with Royal British Legion

  • First Bus in Sheffield launched their poppy appeal bus in partnership with the Royal British Legion.
  • The Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Colin Ross bought the first poppy as the bus launched the campaign outside the Crucible Theatre.
  • First Bus has a strong affiliation with the Armed Forces, with many veterans working for the business.
  • Royal British Legion with its representatives and military personnel were present for a photo call to start their 2023 poppy appeal.

First Bus offers free travel for Remembrance Day to veterans and military personnel across South Yorkshire and the Midlands

  • First Bus is offering free travel for all veterans and UK Armed Forces personnel travelling to Remembrance Day activities on 11th & 12th November
  • Veterans and military personnel will get a free return journey by wearing their military uniform or showing the driver their Service ID card
  • First Bus has a strong affiliation with the Armed Forces, with many veterans working for the business

Travelmaster 7-day tickets will not be available for purchase on board a bus using the contactless function from 30th July due to excessive fraudulent use

  • From 30th July, TravelMaster 7-day tickets will not be available for purchase through the contactless function on board a bus. 
  • Cash purchases remain valid to purchase a 7-day TravelMaster ticket.
  • The change is being made to counter fraudulent activity related to the purchase of this ticket using the contactless       payment function.
