• First Bus Leicester announce bus depot as one of three Net-Zero emission depots in the UK
• Official launch of the depot electrification took place in March 2023 with investment by First Bus and co-funding from Department for Transport secured by Leicester City Council
• Leicester was one of the first fully electrified depots outside of London

Free travel is also allowed if a person is in possession of a current Ministry of Defence issued card, with their branch of military stated

• Services 88 and 88A travel to the ground every 10 minutes throughout the majority of the day.

• First Bus is offering free travel for all veterans and UK Armed Forces personnel travelling to Remembrance Day activities on 11th & 12th November
• Veterans and military personnel will get a free return journey by wearing their military uniform or showing the driver their Service ID card
• First Bus has a strong affiliation with the Armed Forces, with many veterans working for the business
• Royal British Legion with its representatives and military personnel were present for a photo call to start their 2023 poppy appeal

The official public launch of the initiative was held on Thursday 21^st April – Leicester city centre with deputy mayor Adam Clarke, council officers, bus operators and representatives from Little pay and Ticketer and the public
